Iran Halts Airport Operations Amid Tensions

TEHRAN, Iran — In response to escalating security concerns, Iran has temporarily suspended operations at several airports, effective from the evening of October 6 until the morning of October 7. This announcement was made by the country’s Civil Aviation Organization, signaling a significant disruption in travel and heightened alertness.

According to Trend News Agency, the suspension affects flights scheduled between 21:00 on October 6 and 06:00 on October 7, local time. This measure follows a recent series of cancellations on October 2, where all domestic flights were halted until the early hours of October 3 due to potential retaliatory strikes after an Iranian attack on October 1.

This development reflects ongoing regional instability and the Iranian government’s cautious stance on maintaining security and safety for its citizens and infrastructure during periods of military engagement.
