Iranian and Russian Foreign Ministers Discuss Persian Gulf Tensions in Kyrgyzstan

Baku: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have held a meeting, APA reports, citing the Iranian foreign minister's social media accounts. The ministers met on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Kyrgyzstan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry released details of the talks between Lavrov and Araghchi. The ministers discussed the current tensions in the Persian Gulf and the prospects for resolving the conflict through peaceful means. The Russian side emphasized the importance of ending military operations and reaching sustainable agreements as soon as possible in order to restore stability and security in the region.
