Baku: The Baku Engineering University (BEU) recently hosted students from Ismayilli State Humanitarian and Technology College for a collaborative meeting. The event commenced with a promotional video showcasing the university's offerings and facilities.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, BEU Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations, Bayram Huseynzade, opened the meeting by discussing the importance of partnerships between higher education institutions and secondary specialized education establishments. He emphasized the necessity of preparing competitive personnel aligned with labour market demands, highlighting BEU's commitment to training engineers and specialists to meet international standards. Huseynzade noted the university's dedication to equipping students with practical skills and fostering innovative thinking and research competencies.
BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations, Atraba Gul, shared insights on the university's global partnerships. Gul highlighted successful collaborations with prestigious universities worldwide, particularly emphasizing the growing relationship with universities in China through dual degree programmes. These programmes allow BEU students to study in China, gain international exposure, and earn dual diplomas, enhancing their competitiveness in the global job market.
Kamala Suleymanli, Director of Ismayilli State Humanitarian and Technology College, discussed the potential benefits of expanding cooperation with BEU. She pointed out that such partnerships could strengthen students' professional skills and integrate innovative approaches into the educational process. Suleymanli suggested that collaboration could include experience exchange among faculty, professional development programmes, and other related initiatives.
Further remarks were delivered by Nizami Ahmadov, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, and Asif Guliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at BEU. They provided detailed information on the faculties' specializations, modern teaching methods, and practical training opportunities available to students.
The event also featured a dance performance by BEU students, and concluded with a tour of the university's campus, classrooms, laboratories, and social infrastructure.
