Rome:Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, met with Azerbaijan's new Ambassador to Italy, Elchin Huseynli, to discuss important bilateral issues.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions between Cirielli and Huseynli covered key political, economic, and energy topics.

In terms of regional matters, Cirielli reiterated Italy's ongoing support for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
