Baku: A phone conversation took place on June 4 between Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA. During the phone call, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov sincerely congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) by an overwhelming majority vote.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the sides emphasized the importance of mutual support between the two countries in regional and multilateral platforms, including within the framework of the UN Security Council. The ministers expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership between the two countries and discussed opportunities for further development of cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and other fields.
The phone conversation also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
