Tbilisi: Georgia will not participate in the upcoming meeting in the 3+3 format, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) stated, APA's local bureau reports. The decision reflects Georgia's long-standing position on the matter, which has been communicated repeatedly by the government.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Georgia has consistently abstained from engaging in meetings within this framework. The MFA emphasized, "Georgia has never participated in meetings held within this format," underscoring the country's firm stance on the issue.
The initial expert session of the 3+3 format is scheduled to convene in St. Petersburg on June 5. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin mentioned that the format remains open to Georgian involvement. Nevertheless, official statements from Tbilisi highlight that participation is deemed impossible due to Russia's ongoing occupation of Georgian territories.
