Baku: 'The delimitation process and work on demarcation are ongoing. To this end, special commissions have been established by both countries. The commissions are headed by the deputy prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Their activities, involving representatives of various state institutions, continue on a regular basis,' Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, initial positive results of the work have been observed. Over the past year, approximately 13 kilometers of the state border have been delimited. Subsequently, demarcation work in that area was completed within a short period of time.

In addition, a number of normative acts regulating the activities of the commissions and defining their future work have been adopted by Azerbaijan and Armenia through mutual agreement and approved in both countries.

At the same time, it has been agreed that the delimitation process will continue from north to south, starting from the point where the Azerbaijan-Armenia border meets Georgia and extending to the border with Iran. Naturally, within the framework of this process, issues related to exclave villages will also be resolved, FM Bayramov added.
