Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the German Ambassador Ralf Horlemann upon the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country. The meeting, held on June 19, was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, discussions between Bayramov and Horlemann focused on bilateral relations and explored opportunities to enhance political dialogue, economic ties, and cooperation in areas such as energy security, green energy, transport, communications, education, healthcare, and cultural affairs. The importance of high-level visits and contacts in strengthening Azerbaijan-Germany relations was also highlighted.
The meeting addressed the regional situation in the post-conflict period, focusing on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and reconstruction efforts in liberated territories. The outcomes of COP29, hosted by Azerbaijan, were acknowledged for their role in advancing the climate agenda, and potential collaborations in green transition and renewable energy were discussed.
Minister Bayramov conveyed his best wishes to Ambassador Horlemann for his future endeavors. Horlemann expressed his gratitude for the support received during his time in Azerbaijan. The meeting also covered other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
