Turin: Juventus have reached an agreement with Bologna for Jhon Lucumi, with the Colombian defender now set to complete his move to Turin.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the deal is worth £20 million plus a further £2 million in potential bonuses. Lucumi is expected to arrive in Turin on Sunday for his medical examinations before putting pen to paper on a contract running until June 2031. He will reportedly earn £2.5 million per season plus bonuses.
The 28-year-old is said to have prioritised Juventus despite receiving more lucrative proposals elsewhere, including offers from Nottingham Forest and Sunderland. Newcastle also showed late interest, while Como had previously explored a deal.
Last season, the Colombian averaged 57 successful passes per game with an 89.6% completion rate, while completing 4.5 long balls per match at 61.5% accuracy.
