Kallas Announces EU’s Willingness for Structured Partnership with Azerbaijan

Baku: "Strengthening connectivity between the EU, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia is in our shared strategic interest and we're open to discuss a more structured partnership with Azerbaijan," said Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kallas highlighted the progress in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia as a significant opportunity that should be maintained. She noted that the EU is prepared to support this process through various measures, including confidence-building and demining, where the EU is currently the largest donor. Kallas is currently visiting Azerbaijan to discuss these matters further.
