Kamran Aliyev Participates in SCO Prosecutors General Meeting

Kazan:Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev led a delegation on an official visit to the Russian Federation to attend the 24th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the meeting focused on topics such as the protection of traditional family values and preventing the spread of unlawful content among minors. Kamran Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan's robust constitutional and legislative framework for safeguarding families and children. He emphasized that the family is a fundamental societal unit under state protection and stressed the importance of prioritizing children's rights and safety.

During the visit, Aliyev and his delegation celebrated the 108th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan's Prosecutor's Office and the professional holiday of its employees. Aliyev also held a bilateral meeting with Tajikistan's Prosecutor General, Habibullo Vohidzoda, where they discussed enhancing legal cooperation and agreed to draft a new cooperation program.

Aliyev met with Kyrgyzstan's Prosecutor General, Malik Bekturganov, discussing cooperation prospects, particularly in electronic transformation and combating cybercrime. Additionally, Aliyev congratulated Alexander Bazhenov, the new Executive Secretary of the CIS Prosecutors General Coordination Council, and reiterated Azerbaijan's commitment to active participation in the Council.

Moreover, Aliyev engaged in discussions with his counterparts from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Ilgar Safarov, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General for Special Assignments, also contributed by delivering a lecture on digital transformation and professional responsibility at the Kazan Law Institute.

The Azerbaijani delegation's visit concluded successfully, marking a significant step in strengthening international prosecutorial collaboration.
