Bishkek: It is important to define the future priorities of our partnership, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated at the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries, APA's correspondent dispatched to Kyrgyzstan reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Tokayev highlighted the significance of identifying future priorities to enhance the partnership among the involved nations. The president emphasized the positive impact of consistent and intensive interactions at various levels, which underscore the commitment of the states involved to foster constructive cooperation for the benefit of their peoples and the prosperity of the entire region.

He also mentioned the completion of the process of signing the Treaty on Friendship, Good-Neighborliness, and Cooperation for the Development of Central Asia in the 21st Century as a major achievement. This treaty marks a new phase in the strategic partnership, establishing a political framework for regional cooperation grounded in mutual trust, respect, and responsibility towards a shared future.

Tokayev expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for joining the treaty and proposed the creation and adoption of an action plan. This plan aims to outline specific areas for long-term cooperation, focusing on strengthening friendships, enhancing good-neighborly relations, and expanding trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties.
