Kazakhstan FM Voices Concern Over Iran’s Drone Attack on Azerbaijan

Baku: Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yermek Kosherbayev, has expressed deep concern regarding Iran's recent drone attack on Azerbaijan. On March 5, 2026, Kosherbayev reached out to Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, to discuss the incident, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the drone strikes conducted by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. These attacks resulted in damage to civilian infrastructure and harm to individuals, challenging Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Bayramov conveyed Azerbaijan's demand for a clear explanation, an apology from Iran, and the implementation of urgent measures to prevent further incidents.

Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister, Yermek Kosherbayev, expressed profound concern over the attacks and expressed hope that the situation will not escalate further.
