Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia expressed the Kingdom's strongest condemnation of Iran's attempts to target the Republic of Trkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Kingdom emphasized that these attempts, along with Iran's repeated aggression against countries in the region, reveal a hostile approach that cannot be justified. Saudi Arabia noted that this behavior clearly violates international laws, norms, and the principles of good neighborliness while pushing the region toward further escalation.

The Kingdom expressed its full solidarity with the governments and peoples of Trkiye and Azerbaijan, affirming their right to protect their security, airspace, territorial integrity, and citizens. It commended their efforts to avoid escalation and maintain regional security and stability.

Notably, drone attacks were carried out today from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. One drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan Airport, while another landed near a school building in Shakarabad village. The airport building sustained damage, and four people were injured.
