Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. has significantly increased its polypropylene exports, shipping over 150,000 tons from January through August 2024, Trend reports via KazMunayGas JSC.
According to Trend News Agency, the upsurge in exports is part of the company’s strategy to expand its market reach, which now includes Europe, China, Russia, and Trkiye. The plant, responsible for producing polypropylene, managed to manufacture around 165,000 tons during the same period, dedicating about 13,000 tons to meet domestic demand. The facility has broadened its production line to include eight different types of polypropylene, featuring five new varieties that were not previously manufactured within Kazakhstan.
The company continues to focus on enhancing the local industry by supporting domestic processors and increasing the availability of domestically produced polypropylene.
