Baku:President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has proposed the development of a declaration on the responsible use of artificial intelligence by Central Asia and Azerbaijan. This announcement was made during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Tokayev highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence, noting that Kazakhstan has declared the current year as the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. He suggested preparing a cooperation program for Central Asia to facilitate the sharing of information and experience among scientific centers, universities, and technology companies.
The president stressed the need for safe usage of AI technologies, which has become a topic of international discourse. He emphasized the importance of collaborative digital policies and developing approaches to control technological risks. Tokayev reiterated Kazakhstan's proposal for the AI declaration in this context.
