Astana: Kazakhstan plans to increase its oil supplies through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline by approximately 23%, reflecting its strategy to diversify oil exports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kazakhstan's national company KazMunayGas provided official information detailing this planned increase.

Shipments from Aktau toward the BTC pipeline are on an upward trend, aligning with Kazakhstan's goals to broaden its export routes. By the end of 2025, 1.3 million tons of Kazakh oil were transported via this route.

In 2026, the expected volume of Kazakh oil through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline is projected to reach up to 1.6 million tons. This represents an annual increase of approximately 23%, showcasing Kazakhstan's commitment to enhancing its oil export capabilities.
