Baku: One of Kazakhstan’s main projects for 2026 is the construction of a cable line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea that will connect Europe and Asia, said Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Doszhan Ualdinovich Musaliev, at the plenary session held in Baku within the framework of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Doszhan Musaliev noted that this project will provide regional countries – including Azerbaijan – with access to modern digital infrastructure and will accelerate intra-regional information flow. The cable line is expected to significantly enhance the speed and efficiency of communication between Europe and Asia, offering substantial benefits to the regional economies.
Doszhan Musaliev emphasized that a new artificial intelligence center has been established in Kazakhstan. This center is envisioned to serve as a platform for joint projects with partner countries such as Azerbaijan in the future, potentially fostering collaboration and innovation in the digital sector.
