Colchester: The 'Khojaly' Handysize dry cargo vessel owned by ASCO, a company under AZCON Holding, has successfully completed its voyage from Japan to Australia: The vessel delivered a cement cargo, loaded on March 22 of this year at the Port of Tsukumi in Japan, to its destination - the Port of Kwinana in Australia.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the vessel has berthed at the port today, and cargo discharge operations have already commenced. The 'Khojaly' vessel, with unrestricted navigation capabilities, has a deadweight of 38,593 tonnes. The vessel is 180 metres long, 30 metres wide, with a draught of 10.47 metres. With a maximum speed of 15.7 knots, the large dry cargo vessel is capable of calling at many shallow ports thanks to its favourable draught characteristics.
