Azerbaijan’s ANAMA Discovers 191 More Mines and 1661 UXOs in Liberated Territories

Baku: Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has announced weekly information for the period of April 6-12, 2026, regarding operations conducted in the liberated territories, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a total of 144 anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, and 1661 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) were discovered in the regions of Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan. Additionally, these findings extended to the liberated villages of Baghanis Ayrim, Ashaghi Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili within the Gazakh district.

The operations resulted in the clearance of 2,052.05 hectares of land from mines and unexploded ordnance, ensuring safer conditions for the residents and future development of these regions.
