Tbilisi: In 2025, container transportation through Georgia along the Middle Corridor increased by 33%, while cargo traffic via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route rose nearly sixfold, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at the Georgia-Turkmenistan Business Forum held in Tbilisi, APA's local bureau reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Georgia and Turkmenistan are not only trade partners for each other but also serve as important bridges between Europe and Asia. Prime Minister Kobakhidze emphasized the shared interests in enhancing regional connectivity and international trade. He highlighted the strategic importance of developing the Middle Corridor for both countries.
Kobakhidze noted that Georgia is actively working on strengthening its transport and logistics infrastructure. The aim is to make the Middle Corridor faster, more efficient, and more competitive, thereby enhancing Georgia's role in international trade.
