Kremlin: Gas hub in Turkey will be created, but project implementation may be delayed

The Kremlin said that a strong earthquake in Turkey could delay the creation of a gas hub in this country, but the project will be implemented.

“Of course, now this (the gas hub project) cannot be a priority for the Republic of Turkey, we treat this with understanding. Accordingly, there may be some kind of time delay,” Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters on Thursday. answering the question whether an earthquake in Turkey could affect the implementation of the project.

“We have no doubt that Turkey will cope with this disaster, provide all necessary assistance to the victims, and will rebuild the destroyed cities,” Peskov added.

“Therefore, yes, this process (the creation of a gas hub) may move a little to the right, but in fact this will not affect the implementation of plans,” the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation said
