Bishkek: Cooperation among the Central Asian states has gained a qualitatively new dimension, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov stated at the Informal Consultative Meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Zhaparov emphasized the recent advancements in regional cooperation, citing fundamental and historic agreements on state borders as a testament to the progress made. He highlighted the significance of mutual support among the countries in the international arena, expressing gratitude for the support of Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

Zhaparov noted that the adoption in Tashkent of the appeal by the heads of Central Asian states to UN member states exemplifies regional solidarity and provides critical support for Kyrgyzstan. He assured that during its tenure on the international platform, the Kyrgyz Republic would advocate for the common interests of the region.
