Baku: Kyrgyzstan is gearing up to welcome athletes from 112 countries for the upcoming World Nomad Games. The World Nomad Games Organizing Committee has confirmed the receipt of applications from countries around the globe, as reported by the Kabar News Agency.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, athletes from nations including Australia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Argentina, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, USA, and Uzbekistan are among those expected to compete. The Games are anticipated to see around 3,000 athletes taking part.
The athletes submitted their application forms via an online accreditation system available on the official website of the Games. This process was in line with the requirements outlined in the Regulations for the 6th World Nomad Games Sports Program. Official invitations were extended to 100 countries by the organizing committee prior to the application phase.
The Games' program is set to feature 42 sports, with the Regulations prepared in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English to accommodate international participants. On August 31, sports delegations will partake in the parade of countries during the Opening Ceremony, with each team required to wear a unified national uniform.
