Kyrgyzstan’s SCNS Head Awards Jiu-Jitsu World Champion

Bishkek: Kamchybek Tashiev, the head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), has awarded Taalaibek Dzhanaev, an SCNS employee and recent world champion in jiu-jitsu. The ceremony highlighted Dzhanaev’s accomplishment in a global sporting event and his contributions to Kyrgyzstan’s national pride.

According to 24.kg News Agency, Tashiev emphasized the importance of Dzhanaev’s victory for the Kyrgyz people. In recognition of his achievement, Dzhanaev was awarded the departmental Erdik award. The World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which took place from November 2 to 10 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, saw about 7,000 athletes from 127 countries compete. Dzhanaev emerged victorious in the weight category of up to 77 kilograms.
