Lachin: A concert marking May 28, celebrated as Independence Day, took place in Lachin with the notable attendance of Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Trkiye, and Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event commenced with the national anthems of Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and Pakistan. President Ilham Aliyev addressed the gathering, highlighting the deepening cooperation and solidarity among the three nations. He underscored the symbolic significance of the event being held in Lachin, a city liberated from occupation, and expressed gratitude for the support received from Trkiye and Pakistan during the Second Karabakh War.
President Aliyev recounted the historical context of Azerbaijan’s struggle for independence, noting the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic 107 years ago and the subsequent challenges faced, including occupation and conflict.
