Baku: A person born in 1979 sustained injuries from a landmine explosion in the Jabrayil district and was admitted to Fuzuli District Central Hospital at 21:30 on July 23, 2026, as reported by TABIB in response to APA's inquiry.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the injured individual, identified as Shamilov Elshan Bahlul from Gumlag village in the Jabrayil region, suffered a displaced fracture of the middle third of his right femur and displaced open fractures of the fibula and ulna. He was injured while plowing land with a tractor in an area that had not yet been cleared of mines.
The explosion occurred in Hasanli village, a part of the liberated Jabrayil region. The incident was reported by the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA). The patient is currently receiving treatment, and his condition is assessed as serious.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing at the Jabrayil District Prosecutor's Office.
