Baku: A mine incident occurred in the village of Dudukchu in the liberated Khojavend district on August 21, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said in a joint statement.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, a tractor operated by Ramal Giyas oghlu Shirinov, a 1983-born resident of Sumgayit, hit a mine in an area where demining activities were still underway. Shirinov sustained multiple injuries in the incident.

The Khojavend District Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office urged citizens to comply with safety rules, heed mine warning signs, and avoid unfamiliar areas.
