Lavrov Announces Russia’s Support for Restoring Links Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Moscow: Russia is ready to support the opening of transport and economic communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the resolution of humanitarian issues, APA's Moscow bureau reports. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made the remarks at a joint press conference following talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Lavrov emphasized Russia's ongoing commitment to aiding the full and comprehensive normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This is based on the trilateral agreements reached at the highest level in 2020 and 2022. Lavrov assured that Russia remains prepared to assist both Baku and Yerevan in efforts to unblock transport and economic communications and address humanitarian concerns.
