Abu dhabi: On February 5, Leyla Aliyeva met with Afghan women's rights activist and researcher Zarqa Yaftali in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva highlighted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing numerous projects focusing on education, healthcare, and social support. These initiatives aim to create equal opportunities for vulnerable populations both in the region and internationally.
The discussions centered on potential collaboration between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Women and Children Legal Research Foundation. It was noted that the foundation led by Zarqa Yaftali has facilitated access to education and legal protection for over 100,000 women and children.
The meeting emphasized the shared objectives of executing global humanitarian projects and highlighted the significance of protecting women's rights and ensuring sustainable education.
