Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva Meet Young Beekeeper Project Participant in Khizi District

Khizi: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, recently visited the Dadashov family in the Altiagac settlement, Khizi district, as part of their engagement with the ‘Young Beekeeper’ project.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit enabled the Aliyevas to engage in meaningful discussions with the family members about their activities, the experience they have gained, and their future plans related to beekeeping. The family expressed their gratitude for the initiative behind the project and appreciated the personal visit from Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva.

The “Young Beekeeper” project aims to increase interest in beekeeping among young families in regional areas, support their employment, and encourage environmentally sustainable small family businesses. This initiative reflects a commitment to fostering local economic development and sustainable practices.

Adigozel Safarov, the father of participant Sevinc Dadashova, shared a personal connection to the initiative. He met with National Leader Heydar Aliyev in 1994 and, with his support, was sent by the Union of Azerbaijani Farmers to the US State of Iowa for an experience exchange program in agriculture and farming. This background highlights the long-standing efforts to enhance agricultural practices and opportunities in Azerbaijan.
