Ookla President Meets with Leadership of ICTA to Enhance Digital Infrastructure

Baku: Stephen Bye, President and CEO of Ookla, is on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports. During his visit, he engaged in a meeting with representatives of Ookla and the leadership of the Information Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation to develop Azerbaijan’s digital infrastructure. It was emphasized that ICTA and Ookla are closely collaborating to monitor and improve the country’s existing telecommunications infrastructure. The partnership aims to enhance the quality of telecom services for all citizens. Initiatives include providing data on Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) indicators, as well as supporting the expansion of broadband internet accessibility nationwide.

Ookla’s leadership proposed closer cooperation by offering new modern solutions to ICTA. These solutions aim to identify improvement opportunities in mobile coverage and fixed broadband network infrastructure, conduct radio spectrum analysis, investigate consumer complaints, and address other related areas.
