Lithuanian FM Condemns Iran’s Drone Attacks on Azerbaijan as Escalating Regional Tensions

Baku: Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys engaged in a phone conversation with Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, as reported by Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Bayramov informed Minister Budrys about the recent drone attacks by Iran that targeted Azerbaijan. He characterized these attacks as serious violations of international law and actions that exacerbate regional tensions.

Minister Budrys expressed strong condemnation of the drone attacks, voicing deep concern over the situation. He pledged Lithuania's solidarity with Azerbaijan, emphasizing that such aggressive actions by Iran have the potential to further destabilize the already fragile region.

The conversation also provided an opportunity for both ministers to discuss other matters of mutual interest, highlighting the ongoing cooperation and dialogue between Lithuania and Azerbaijan.
