Lukashenko repeated that Azerbaijan offered Armenia $5 billion for the liberation of 5 regions

At one time, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev offered Armenia to vacate five regions around Karabakh in exchange for investments of 5 billion dollars, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas stated on November 1.

“I went to Ilham, talked to him and asked the question: “Ilham Heydarovich, well, we need to help Armenia, if you agree.” And it was about the five regions of Azerbaijan, captured by the Armenians. The Armenians admitted that “this is not our land, this is Azerbaijani.” Well, come back! And if they did then, there would be no war. The status of Karabakh would remain and they would decide in a calm manner. But then neither Serzh Sargsyan agreed, and then Nikol Pashinyan. I raised this issue twice,” Lukashenko said.

“And I then asked Ilham a question: “Listen, well, agree, you need to somehow help Armenia, so that the people can see that you have reconciled. Well, how much could you invest in Armenia?” He says at least five billion. No. They put the President of Azerbaijan in a corner.

He called on the European Union and the OSCE not to interfere in the situation. “Russia is already a mediator in resolving the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and this is quite enough,” he said.

“Why was the European Union dragged into it, why is the OSCE dragged there? What will they do there if there is already an intermediary there? And the CSTO needs to be drawn into it. As if there is nothing else to do,” Lukashenko complained
