Paris: President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron has extended his congratulations to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Macron's congratulatory message was sent on the occasion of Azerbaijan's national holiday. In his letter, Macron expressed his wishes for peace and prosperity to President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan. He highlighted the importance of their recent interactions, including a meeting in Copenhagen last year and a phone conversation earlier this year, as platforms for continuing efforts to normalize and enhance bilateral relations.
Macron underlined the potential of France and Azerbaijan's collaboration, particularly in regional dialogue and cooperation across various fields such as economy, culture, and education. He pointed out the exemplary cooperation related to the French-Azerbaijani University, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, as a testament to their partnership's strength.
The French President also addressed recent challenges in bilateral relations, expressing hope to overcome these difficulties in a spirit of partnership.
