Magdalena Grono: EU Will Continue Its Support for the Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace Process

Baku: Magdalena Grono, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, has revealed the issues discussed during her meetings in Baku, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press Nws Aency, Grono expressed her satisfaction at returning to Baku and engaging in in-depth consultations with Azerbaijani officials, including Presidential Assistant Hikmet Hajiyev, the President's Representative for Special Assignments Elchin Amirbayov, and Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov.

The discussions covered a range of topics, concentrating on regional developments, the relationship between the EU and Azerbaijan, and opportunities in transport and logistics. Additionally, the talks touched upon the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process and the issues that lie ahead of the EU's forthcoming high-level engagements in both Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Grono highlighted the consensus on maintaining the positive momentum achieved through historic progress towards a lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. She affirmed that the European Union remains committed to supporting this peace process, as stated on her X account.
