Magnitude 5 Earthquake Strikes Guba Region

Baku: An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 was recorded in the Guba region, APA reports citing the Republic Seismologic Survey Center. The earthquake occurred at 20:56 local time and had a depth of 13 km.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, an earthquake was recorded in the Guba region. It was felt at the epicenter at about 5 points and in the surrounding regions at 4-3 points. Earthquakes were felt in the Guba and Khachmaz regions, APA's Northern Bureau reports.

Preliminary information indicates that the earthquake occurred at 8:56 p.m., approximately 10 kilometers from the city of Shabran. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.9. Earthquakes were also felt in the Guba and Khachmaz regions. There is no information about the consequences of the earthquake yet.
