Baku: Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their Independence Day. In his message, he conveyed wishes for good health, happiness, and success, alongside hopes for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly people and government of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Abbas also expressed his desire for the further development and strengthening of the bilateral relations between Palestine and Azerbaijan. He emphasized his high appreciation for Azerbaijan's stance on the Palestinian issue, indicating the importance of their support.

In addition to the Independence Day greetings, President Abbas also extended congratulations on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha, asking the leadership of Azerbaijan to accept his best regards.
