Malaysian Ambassador’s Diplomatic Mission in Azerbaijan Concludes

Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza, marking the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared this information with APA, highlighting the discussions that took place during the meeting.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, both parties explored the current state and future possibilities for friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malaysia. They stressed the significance of strengthening political dialogue, increasing mutual visits and contacts, expanding trade and economic relations, and enhancing cooperation in various fields, including energy, education, tourism, humanitarian affairs, and culture.

The meeting also covered cooperation between Azerbaijan and Malaysia within international organizations. Both sides expressed satisfaction with their effective collaboration in the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other multilateral platforms. They highlighted the importance of the upcoming Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Summit and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit, set to take place in Azerbaijan this year and next, as opportunities to further expand cooperation.

Discussions also included the current regional situation in the post-conflict period, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, and prospects for regional cooperation. Minister Bayramov expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza for his contributions to the development of bilateral relations during his tenure in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Bin Mohd Rza expressed appreciation for the support he received during his mission in Azerbaijan and conveyed confidence that the relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia will continue to flourish. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
