Baku: Tomorrow, Port of Baku CJSC is set to sign an agreement with Malaysian company Citiqlobal for the development of a 5.4 MW solar photovoltaic facility at the Port of Baku. This initiative is part of the activities at COP29, as announced by Taleh Ziyadov, General Director of the CJSC, during the “COP29 Business, Investment and Philanthropy Climate Platform” event. The platform was organized in collaboration with the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) as part of the COP29 proceedings.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the completion of this solar project will enhance the Port of Baku’s credentials as a Green Port. This designation is part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions, boost energy efficiency, and reinforce energy security through renewable sources. The solar facility is expected to play a significant role in achieving these environmental and sustainability goals.
