Baku: President of the Republic of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in celebration of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, which is observed on May 28.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter conveys the heartfelt greetings of the people of Malta to the Azerbaijani president and citizens on this significant occasion.

In her message, President Debono emphasized the cordial and friendly relations that exist between Malta and Azerbaijan, underscoring the mutual respect and understanding that have marked the diplomatic ties between the two countries. She expressed confidence that the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Malta and Azerbaijan will continue to grow stronger in the future.

President Debono also took the opportunity to wish President Aliyev good health and well-being, ending her letter with assurances of her highest consideration.
