Baku: 'Payment for water services creates a serious burden for people living in unemployment and poverty,' said Rose Molokoane, Special Representative of Slum Dwellers International Organization, during the 'UN 2026 Water Conference: Urban Housing Roadmap' event, which was part of WUF13.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Molokoane stressed the need to address water supply issues from a social justice and affordability perspective, beyond just financial considerations. She advocated for stronger cooperation between governments and communities, emphasizing the importance of including the experiences and needs of local people in decision-making processes.
