Rome: The MAMA ‘Mother Nature’ international art exhibition was unveiled at the MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, Italy. The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, accompanied by Arzu Aliyeva.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the MAMA ‘Mother Nature’ art project initially debuted at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku in November 2024 during the COP29 event. Aiming to disseminate messages about climate change globally, the exhibition first traveled to Bahrain before arriving in Rome. It showcases the creativity of contemporary artists from around the world.

The exhibition features the works of 55 artists from 28 countries, including the USA, Germany, the UK, Brazil, South Korea, Georgia, India, Spain, Israel, Latvia, Pakistan, Russia, Trkiye, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. Through a variety of mediums such as installations, paintings, and multimedia works, the exhibition conveys narratives addressing current ecological and social challenges. The project underscores the profound relationship between humanity and nature, with each piece delivering a message about this connection. It portrays Earth as both a source of inspiration and a vital life-sustaining force.

The traveling exhibition highlights the inseparable bond between humans and nature, emphasizing the maternal figure as the spiritual and physical source of life. Visitors are encouraged to contemplate the significance of responsibility, care, and ecological renewal.

The MAMA ‘Mother Nature’ international art exhibition will be open to the public at Rome’s MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts until May 14.
