Brussels: Mammad Ahmadzada has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium. This appointment comes after Vagif Ismayil oglu Sadigov was recalled from his ambassadorial posts, which included roles as Ambassador to Belgium, concurrently to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and as Head of Azerbaijan's Mission to the European Union.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev signed the orders regarding these diplomatic changes. Mammad Ahmadzada was previously serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and as the Permanent Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. On August 10, President Aliyev signed an order recalling Ahmadzada from these positions, paving the way for his new role in Belgium.
