Azerbaijani Delegation Engages in Diplomatic and Cultural Exchange at Ankara Festival

Ankara: An Azerbaijani delegation participated in the 3rd International Ke§i¶ren Turkic World Festival held in Ankara, Trkiye. Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation led by Chairman of both the National Association of City Municipalities and the Narimanov District Municipality, Tamraz Taghiyev. The delegation included Kamil Abdullayev, Chairman of the Tovuz municipality; Ismayil Huseynli, Chairman of the Yevlakh municipality; Orkhan Adigozalzade, Deputy Chairman of the Sumgayit municipality; Gudraddin Verdikhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Binagadi municipality; and Rovshan Mammadov, Chief Adviser of the National Association of City Municipalities.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation first visited Ke§i¶ren Municipality at the invitation of the Municipality's Mayor, Mesut ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦€š¬…€œzaslan. Discussions focused on opportunities to expand cooperation among the municipalities of the brotherly countries, enhancing mutual exchange of experience, and implementing joint projects.

The delegation then participated in the festival hosted by the Ke§i¶ren Municipality and organized with the support of T‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦€š¬…€œRKSOY in the format of sister cities. The festival gathered representatives from Trkiye and other Turkic world countries, including Kirsad Zorlu, Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) responsible for Relations with the Turkic States and a member of the Turkish Parliament; Taha Zahid ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦€š¬…€œzdemir, Secretary General of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB); and Mahmut Ozcinar, President of the Union of Turkish Municipalities of Cyprus, among other officials.

The event featured a concert program with participants from Azerbaijan's culture and art sector. In addition to the festival, the Azerbaijani delegation visited Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, the founder of the Republic of Trkiye, and the park named after the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
