Baku: The President of the Republic of Mauritius, Dharambeer Gokhool, commended Azerbaijan's 'Baku White City' project and the Aghdam Master Plan during his speech at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Gokhool described these initiatives, along with Azerbaijan's environmental measures, as significant steps in urban transformation. He emphasized the role of President Ilham Aliyev's leadership in implementing these projects over the past decade.

Gokhool expressed that these initiatives are expected to contribute significantly to the discussions and outcomes of WUF13. He underscored the importance of housing as both a fundamental need and a core element of human dignity, advocating for housing policy and urban planning to be prioritized in state policy for sustainable human development.
