Media Representatives Honor Legacy of Azerbaijani Press Founder Hasan bey Zardabi

Baku: On the occasion of the 151st anniversary of the founding of the National Press on July 22, leaders and staff from the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), the Media Development Agency, and the Azerbaijan Press Council gathered to honor Hasan bey Zardabi, the founder of the national press in Azerbaijan. Zardabi, known for publishing and serving as the editor-in-chief of the newspaper 'Akinchi', was also recognized for his contributions as a public figure.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the attendees paid tribute to Zardabi by laying a wreath and flowers at his gravesite. During the ceremony, Rashad Majid, Chairman of the Press Council, provided insights into the evolution of Azerbaijan's national press. He emphasized the significant role played by National Leader Heydar Aliyev in nurturing the media sector, a legacy that continues under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
