Khankendi: A media tour has been organized at Karabakh University, offering a glimpse into the state-of-the-art facilities at the Clinic and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The tour, reported by APA’s Karabakh bureau, showcased the advanced infrastructure and educational resources available to students and faculty.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the academic building is fully equipped with modern technology that aligns with contemporary educational standards. The facility includes 10 classrooms, 9 lecture halls, 3 laboratories, work and examination rooms, relaxation areas, a library, and briefing halls. Additionally, specialized spaces such as microbiology and histology laboratories and cell cultivation offices are set to operate within the building. The university offers a six-year program in medicine and a four-year program in nursing, both formulated with input from local and international experts. These programs are designed to integrate theoretical learning with practical application in the university’s clinic.

Samir Babayev, the head of the Clinic of Karabakh University and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, emphasized that students will have ample opportunities for research and leadership development. An elective arts program is included in the curriculum to enhance students’ self-expression, teamwork, and communication skills.

The clinic, established under a decree by President Ilham Aliyev in February, boasts 23 doctor’s offices, various laboratories, and facilities for X-ray, emergency care, MRI, CT, and angiography. The clinic serves as a vital component in the professional training of medical students and in advancing scientific research. It also contributes to regional health protection through its teaching, research, and medical service activities.
