Ganja: A media tour was organized to the Ganja Memorial Complex, APA’s local bureau reports. Journalists were given the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the ongoing work at the complex.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ramil Jahangirov, head of department at the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, provided insights into the current developments. He mentioned that the final finishing works are currently underway at the complex.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva inspected the progress of the Ganja Memorial Complex on August 20. President Aliyev had laid the foundation stone for the complex in January 2022. The memorial is being constructed on the site of residential buildings and a former park that were targeted by missile strikes. It aims to commemorate the crimes committed by the Armenian army against civilians during the 44-day Patriotic War.
