Baku:The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) is set to convene a meeting to discuss the potential removal of Ramiz Mehdiyev from his position as a full member of the academy.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Isa Habibbayli, the President of ANAS, stated that Mehdiyev's actions have led to the consideration of his removal. Habibbayli emphasized that Mehdiyev cannot continue as a full member under the current circumstances.

Habibbayli further mentioned that ANAS will make the necessary decision concerning this issue and that the meeting to address this matter will be held in the very near future.
